Founder and President of Association of Data Protection Officer – ASSO DPO

  • Matteo Colombo graduated in Law from the Università Statale in Milan.
  • He is a business consultant and trainer, specialised in privacy and labour matters.
  • After a few years working for a leading multinational Employment Agency as a Risk Manager and member of the Legal Team, he is one of the founding members of Labor Project Srl, a company that has been active in the field of privacy and 231/01 compliance for more than fifteen years and in which he is the CEO.
  • Heading a pool of lawers & consultants, over the years he has advised private companies and public administrations in the implementation of the Privacy Code and GDPR. He is external DPO for several important multinational companies.
  • Speaker at numerous events throughout Italy on Privacy issues, teacher in the CAS GDPR courses and Master in ICT System, Security and Cybercrime at SUPSI (University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Swizerland) and author of several books on the (EU) Privacy Regulation. Technical director and teacher of the DPO training course which has exceeded 50 editions and 800 participants in Italy.
  • Expert in the field of corporate crimes under Legislative Decree 231/01 and member of Supervisory Bodies. Speaker at numerous events throughout Italy on Privacy and Legislative Decree 231/01 issues and creator of the E-Learning “Master DPO” project.
  • Founding Member of Privacy Desk Suisse SA.
  • Founding member and Chairman of the Association of Data Protection Officers – ASSO DPO.
  • Founder of the “ASSO DPO | Data Protection Officer” Linkedin group.
  • Member of the Italian Experts group of Privacy Italia
