Marilena Hyeraci has over twenty years of experience in strategic legal advisory services in the fields of personal data protection, cybersecurity and new technologies law. She also has experience in general compliance, risk mapping and organisational models pursuant to Italian Legislative Decree No. 231/2001, whistleblowing, judicial proceedings and internal investigations, including in cross-border contexts.
Marilena advises international groups and leading Italian companies on the development of data governance programmes and on compliance with privacy and cybersecurity legislation, including the GDPR and the AI Act, the NIS2 Directive and the DORA Regulation. She also provides assistance in the analysis and management of cybersecurity incidents, supporting clients in judicial proceedings, interactions with and disclosures to competent authorities, as well as in the definition of information flows, risk assessments and strategic evaluations concerning potential communications to data subjects and stakeholders.
Marilena has also advised on proceedings under Italian Legislative Decree No. 231/2001, with a particular focus on cybercrime, fraud and corruption matters, both domestic and international, involving multiple jurisdictions.
