Marilena has consolidated experience in compliance, personal data protection, corporate criminal law, and internal investigations, including in cross-border contexts.
She supports companies in drafting and reviewing organizational and corporate compliance models and assessing legal risks. Marilena advises on data protection and the management of personal data breaches and disclosure procedures to the Authorities.
Marilena has advised leading Italian and multinational companies and developed a focus on national and international corruption, cybercrimes and domestic and international fraud, and in relation to the implementation of privacy legislation, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the law of new technologies, including artificial intelligence.
She has also worked as a jurist at the Italian Department of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg and at the French Ministry of Justice in Paris, Department of European and International Law.
Marilena is recognized as a leading lawyer by leading international legal guides such as Chambers&Partners, Legal 500, and Who's Who Legal, and in 2022 she was listed among the 50 Top Women Role Models by Legal Community.
