Full Professor of Italian and Comparative Constitutional Law in the Department of Legal Sciences at the University of Florence, Lawyer registered in the Special Register of University Professors, member of the Scientific Board of several journals in the field of comparative public law, she is a member of the Board of the Italian Association of Comparative Public Law and has served as its Vice President for two terms.

She has held leadership positions in the Italian Association of Constitutional Lawyers.

In August 2019, she was appointed by the Minister of the Environment as a member of the national technical commission for environmental impact assessment (VIA-VAS) and was part of the committee of experts appointed by the Government in June 2013 for constitutional reform. She has coordinated research units within European Horizon 2020 projects and national PRIN projects.
