Partner at Cattaneo & Postizzi Studio Legale SA, Lugano, and Cattaneo & Bionda Notaries, Lugano, Mr. Cattaneo advises clients mainly in the IP / IT, commercial and M&A sectors, including public institutions, acts as international arbitrator for the Swiss Chambers of Commerce and teaches Internet law (with focus on IP, privacy and e-commerce) at the University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) and other important institutions (Franklin University Switzerland, Ticino Chamber of Commerce and SSIG).

Awards & Community Leadership
Gianni CATTANEO is a regular speaker at Swiss national Radio and Television (RSI) and at national and international Conferences on IT / IP law.
He is member of the Data Protection Commission of Canton Ticino (highest administrative body dealing with data protection and public transparency within the Ticino public administration), member of the Lawyers’ Ticino Bar IT Commission and member of the special commission appointed by the government to deal with the use and regulation of private devices in public schools.
