He represents IBM in the Italian Standards Bodies CEI and UNI and in the Federated Body UNINFO and coordinates the activities of IBM Experts within their Technical Committees.

Representing IBM Italy, he actively participates in CEI Technical Committees on Product Safety ITE, EMC and Data Center Efficiency. Since April 2006 he has been President of UNINFO (Federated Body of UNI with delegation on Information Technologies and their Applications).

Since April 2006 he has been a member of the UNI Board of Directors. From April 2006 to November 2013, he is Vice President of IEC CT 108 “Safety of Electronic Equipment for Audio/Video Technology, Information and Telecommunications.” Since October 2011, he has been the Coordinator of the Committee of Presidents of UNI Federated Bodies. Since October 2011, he has been the Representative of the Federated Entities in the Executive Council of UNI. Since January 2013, he has represented UNI in the CEN/CENELEC BT/WG6 “ICT Standardization Policy”. From June 2017 to July 2019 he is in the Working Group “Standardization” of the France-Germany-Italy Trilateral on Industry 4.0. Since June 2021, he has been a member of the Strategic Steering Committee of UNI. Since July 2021 he has been President of the Central Technical Committee of UNINFO. Since September 2021 he has been a member of the “Strategic Advisory Group” of CEN/CLC JTC21 “AI”. From November 2021 to March 2023 he is a member of the Board of Directors of AITA. Since September 2022 he has been chairman of the UNINFO UNI/CT 533 Committee on “Artificial Intelligence.

Since November 2022, he has been chairman of IEC Committee 108 “Safety of Electronic Equipment for Audio/Video, Information and Telecommunication Technology.”

Since February 2023, he has been chairman of the UNINFO UNI/CT 535 “Quantum Technologies” Committee.
